Its latest price list until the tip of September incorporates a wide selection of recent EV models from various manufacturers several of which require no up front payment, including:

  • Renault Megane e-Tech, EV60 160kW Evolution Comfort Range 60kWh, with a driving range as much as 280 miles.

“By forging close collaborations with the industry, including automotive manufacturers and dealers, Motability Operations keeps prices as little as possible,” it said.

With manufacturers are prioritising the production of EVs to fulfill the Zero Emissions Vehicle (ZEV) mandate, it noted that while there are fewer petrol and diesel cars available in the brand new automotive market, customers who aren’t ready to change to an EV can still go for petrol and diesel vehicles offered by Motability.

It said that while increasing costs of insurance, servicing and maintenance means will remain affordability challenges, its three-year leasing package, which incorporates insurance, breakdown assistance, servicing, maintenance, tyres and windscreens, represents value for money.

Andrew Miller, chief executive of Motability Operations said: “Because the UK’s biggest automotive buyer, we will leverage our scale to navigate the industry pressures and drive affordability for our customers. By collaborating with our scheme partners, we’re still in a position to offer our customers great value for money in our latest price list.”

Andy Broadfield shall be joining the business from Direct Line Group (DLG) in November, as managing director of electrical and insurance to spearhead the corporate’s electrification strategy and develop the client insurance experience.
