Stellantis is recalling greater than 1.3 million Jeep Wrangler and Gladiator vehicles globally as a consequence of a possible fire risk. The recall affects 2021-2025 model-year Jeep Wrangler SUVs and Gladiator pickups.
The automaker is urging owners to park affected vehicles outdoors and away from buildings or other vehicles until repairs are accomplished. In response to Stellantis, a faulty electrical connection can generate excessive heat and, in rare cases, ignite flamable materials, even when the vehicle is parked and turned off.
The recall includes roughly 1.08 million vehicles within the U.S., 106,000 in Canada, 23,000 in Mexico, and about 125,000 in other global markets. Stellantis expects a treatment to be available by July and said dealers will inspect and, if needed, repair or replace affected components.
