Konsortium E-Mutiara bus Kelantan is ready to receive eight electric buses valued at RM11.2 million, and these are expected to start operations within the state in July, reported Latest Straits Times. Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) has revealed that it plans to extend the utilisation of its 1,655 km rail network that spans 10 states, Latest Straits Times has reported. Track utilisation rate by KTMB currently stands at 30%, and the rail operator goals to extend this to 80% by 2030 for increased ridership and cargo volume. Jetour Auto Malaysia has announced that the primary shipment of the Dashing SUV has arrived in Port Klang, Selangor, ahead of the model’s official Malaysian market launch next month, following its initial preview on the brand’s Malaysian debut in May 2024. The road transport department (JPJ) has issued a press release for recalls involving greater than 41,000 vehicles across five passenger automotive brands in Malaysia, comprised of Honda (previously announced by Honda Malaysia in November 2024), Kia, Ford, Audi and Mercedes-Benz. Alfa Romeo is the newest manufacturer to backtrack on its goal of becoming an EV-only carmaker, a goal that the Italian brand had previously set out to realize by 2027, reported Automotive News.
