In keeping with the Malaysian Highway Authority (LLM), the necessity to develop latest highways and adopt smart technologies is clear resulting from the rise within the variety of vehicles and highway usage, which has now reached as much as six million vehicles day by day, reported Bernama.
“We’re committed to developing the toll highway network in Malaysia because the necessity is clearly there, especially as many areas and cities at the moment are facing traffic congestion. “With the present three lanes, the capability is insufficient and the extent of service is at Level E, which is kind of congested. Subsequently, we’ll add two more elevated lanes, bringing the overall to 5 lanes,” he said.
Closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras can be used to observe works live, and enable immediate motion to be taken should any incident occur, thus enhancing safety throughout the development period, he added. LLM can be moving towards the event of smart highways through using artificial intelligence robotically detect accidents and traffic violations.
