The Volkswagen ID Buzz — a vehicle I have never exactly been a fan of — famously went away for the 2026 model 12 months, but that hiatus was at all times going to be temporary. While I’m no fan of the ID Buzz, I’m — after all — an intrepid journalist. Due to that, it’s my job to let you know what’s latest and exciting concerning the 2027 ID Buzz (apart from none of it). The large news here is the addition of the Pro S 4Motion and Tourer 4Motion trim levels. The previous is just the bottom trim van with all-wheel drive, however the latter is a tad more interesting.
It’s based on the European “Good Night Package,” and it features a fold-out mattress with a platform, window blinds, front window ventilation panels, and a table and chairs set that go outside the van. It also has an Overnight Mode built into the software that’ll adapt the inside and exterior functionality to make the ID Buzz a bit of bit higher to sleep in. VW doesn’t go into specifics as to what kind of things change, so I suppose we’ll must see. I still cannot imagine it will be good, however it’ll be higher, I suppose. The Tourer 4Motion will likely be built off the Pro S 4 Motion, and it will get other niceties like a retractable tow hitch, captain’s chairs, an electrochromic panoramic sunroof, a 360-degree camera and 20-inch wheels.
As for the 2027 ID Buzz lineup as an entire, it’s getting a software update with a refreshed navigation system and a reorganized settings page to make accessing vehicle contains a bit easier.
