Moving Fleet Forward on Election Day – Fleet Forward

Election Day is correct across the corner — and so is Fleet Week in sunny San Diego! Because the nation prepares for what could also be a heated night, it’s necessary to pause, take a deep breath, and have a look at the facts. Understand that we’re all navigating through this together.

While the event coincides with Election Day, we would like to encourage everyone to get entangled by ensuring you’re registered and able to vote. In lots of places, there’s still time to register or update your voting information if needed. Some states even allow same-day registration; check your state’s details.

And remember, early voting or absentee ballots are an awesome method to ensure your voice is heard — before you hop on that flight to San Diego.

Not yet registered for Fleet Week? It’s not too late for that, either. The 2024 Fleet Forward Conference and Fleet Safety Conference might be held together November 6-8 on the Sheraton San Diego Hotel & Marina. Rounding out “Fleet Week” in San Diego, this yr’s Global Fleet Conference can even occur on the Sheraton Marina from November 4-6.

In spite of everything the votes have been solid, join us as we come together to rejoice something that unites us all — our shared passion for the fleet industry and a forward-looking concentrate on technology, safety, and innovation. Irrespective of the consequence of the elections, Fleet Week might be a spot where we rise above the day-to-day challenges and look forward to what’s next for fleets in 2025 and beyond.

As I said in a post on LinkedIn, “It’s easy to get caught up in the warmth of the moment, but now greater than ever, it’s necessary to pause, take a deep breath, and have a look at the facts. Understand that we’re all navigating through this together.

“We have to be decent to one another. It’s that straightforward. This isn’t about who’s right or unsuitable. It’s about treating one another with respect, even after we disagree. It’s about showing up as humans first. The world is complicated, but to take a lesson from my nine-year-old daughter — kindness doesn’t must be. So, let’s challenge ourselves to rise above the noise, to listen greater than we speak, and to steer with empathy.”

The Global Fleet and Fleet Forward teams at Bobit are excited to collect as a fleet family and rejoice what makes our industry special: resilience, adaptability, and our commitment to progress. We’ll discuss recent solutions, connect with peers, and plan for a successful 2025 — working together to make our industry and world higher and safer on daily basis.

One in all the things that makes the fleet industry so amazing is the incredible level of cooperation and skill to work together no matter sub-industry or job title. Let’s use those skills irrespective of what happens in November.

Let’s make this event a celebration of what’s to return, whatever the election consequence. See you in San Diego!
