A serious redevelopment by Lloyd Motor Group has led to the creation of as much as 20 latest jobs, following the merger of its Kia and Volvo operations at its Levens site.
Over the past six months, the dealership group has relocated its Morecambe Kia branch to Levens, establishing a joint Kia and Volvo showroom and repair centre.
The move is a component of a wider refurbishment project aimed toward enhancing facilities and boosting local employment in South Cumbria and North Lancashire.
Mark Smith, head of business at Lloyd South Lakes, said: “This has been an incredible few months for Lloyd South Lakes Kia & Volvo, seeing a whole redevelopment of the Levens site with a brand new constructing and full modernisation. With the expansion, staff numbers are expected to grow from just over 50 to greater than 70.”
To support recruitment, Lloyd Motor Group will host an open evening on the Levens site on 21 May, offering a chance for prospective candidates to explore available roles and apprenticeships.
“Everyone seems to be welcome to attend, no matter experience,” said Smith. “It is a probability to learn more in regards to the number of profession paths we provide.”
Job openings span several departments, including positions for workshop controllers, product specialists, sales and warranty administrators, valeters, and technicians – starting from apprentice to master technician level.
