The road transport department (JPJ) has issued a press release for recalls involving greater than 41,000 vehicles across five passenger automotive brands in Malaysia, comprised of Honda (previously announced by Honda Malaysia in November 2024), Kia, Ford, Audi and Mercedes-Benz. Alfa Romeo is the newest manufacturer to backtrack on its goal of becoming an EV-only carmaker, a goal that the Italian brand had previously set out to realize by 2027, reported Automotive News. BYD has unveiled the Han L sedan and the Tang L SUV, and the brand new electric models feature the brand’s latest design language and electric motors. The Malaysian Green Technology and Climate Change Corporation (MGTC) has commenced its electric motorcycle battery swapping systems project. Starting tomorrow, December 10, 2024, the EV bike demonstration runs for a duration of two months, until February 9, 2025.
