  • The 2025 Nissan Z has been announced
  • Changes include recent two-tone color options, together with the GT-R’s Bayside Blue signature hue
  • The starting price is unchanged from the previous 12 months at $44,110, including destination

With the Nissan GT-R set to bow out of production this summer, Nissan has decided to make its iconic Bayside Blue color available on other models, starting with the Z.

This particular shade of blue, made famous by the R34-generation Nissan Skyline GT-R, is now available on the 2025 Z, with order books opening this week.

Also recent for 2025 are two two-tone exterior color options: Pearl White Tricoat with a Super Black roof and Solid Red with a Super Black roof. No word if Midnight Purple is next.

Pricing for the 2025 Z stays unchanged from the previous 12 months. The bottom Z Sport model starts at $44,110, the Z Performance at $54,110, and the Z Nismo performance flagship at $66,890. All figures include a $1,140 destination charge.

2025 Nissan Z Nismo

Powering the 2025 Z is a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V-6, producing 400 hp in the usual models and 420 hp within the Z Nismo. The Nismo variant is exclusively available with the Z’s 9-speed automatic transmission, while other models offer a 6-speed manual as a no-cost option.

Even in its base form, the Z comes well-equipped with 18-inch wheels wrapped in Yokohama ADVAN Sport performance tires, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, an 8.0-inch infotainment touchscreen, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Upgrading to the Performance model adds an enhanced Bose audio system with eight speakers, a 9.0-inch infotainment screen with navigation, leather seats, a mechanical limited-slip differential, upgraded brakes, and 19-inch Rays forged wheels with Bridgestone Potenza S007 high-performance tires.

Introduced for the 2024 model 12 months, the Z Nismo offers additional power together with Nismo-tuned suspension and brakes, Recaro sport bucket seats, and revised aerodynamic bodywork. It rides on 19-inch Rays wheels wrapped in Dunlop SP Sport Maxx GT600 tires, measuring a considerable 285/35 on the rear. The Nismo’s wheels are a half-inch wider than those on the Z Performance model, measuring 10.0 inches across on the front and 10.5 inches on the rear. Despite the increased size, Nissan claims the Nismo’s wheels are literally lighter than those on the Performance model.

The Z Heritage Edition that was also added for 2024 as a celebration of 55 years of the Z nameplate is not any longer available.
