Subaru

I do not care what individuals who claim to love “minimalist” automobile design say, a rear wing is nearly all the time a sick addition to a automobile. It might take a boring automobile and add a little bit little bit of fun. It might be actually functional, or it will probably just be a little bit something to let those around you already know your automobile is a bit special.

That is what leads me to today’s query. I need to know what automobile you’re thinking that has one of the best spoiler of all time. What automobile’s rear wing is nice and iconic enough to vary the best way you have a look at the whole automobile? It might be whatever you wish: a tacked-on spoiler on some hot hatch, an enormous wing that gives actual downforce and even something so outrageous that it circles all the best way back around to being cool (taking a look at you, Plymouth Roadrunner).

What I’d select

Lancia Thema 8.32
Lancia

There are obviously a whole lot, if not hundreds, of some of these wings to select from, but I do know what my answer can be. Apologies prematurely if I’m stealing your thunder, but my pick would absolutely be the rear wing on the Lancia Thema 8.32. Sure, it is a bit understated, nevertheless it’s also incredibly special. You see, the Thema 8.32’s wing is the primary motorized spoiler ever fitted to a automobile. Meaning it will probably slink back into the rear decklid for a more seamless look. Nonetheless, if you desire to do a little bit of peacocking, press a button and it pops right back out. Stuff like that is taken with no consideration today, but when this thing first showed up in 1982, it was an enormous deal. Any automobile you see with a motorized wing today owes it to the Thema 8.32

OK, that is enough yapping out of me. Why don’t you head on down below and let everyone know what automobile you’re thinking that has one of the best wing of all time? As all the time, extra points and prizes can be given out when you tell us why you want this wing a lot.
