The finalists for The Mix Awards 2024 have been announced ahead of The Mix’s annual conference and networking event for independent garage owners, set to happen later this month.
The event will probably be held at The Eastside Rooms in Birmingham on September 28, featuring a prestigious awards ceremony following a day filled with business insights from industry leaders, influencers, and innovators.
For the primary time, The Mix’s coveted Garage of the 12 months Award has been divided into three subcategories, ensuring that garages of all sizes across the UK and Ireland have an equal opportunity.
“The standard of entries this yr has been truly exceptional, showcasing the talent, dedication, and innovation that defines the independent garage sector,” said Ray Dilsons, event director at The Mix. “It’s a possibility to rejoice the outstanding achievements of companies and individuals who’re pushing the industry forward and setting recent standards of excellence.”
The judging panel, which incorporates industry figures akin to Hayley Pells from the Institute of the Motor Industry, Andy Crook of Got Boost, and Mike Ruff, host of The Mix Podcast, faced a difficult task in choosing finalists.
The big volume of high-quality entries made the choice process particularly difficult for the Garage of the 12 months and Staff Recognition Award categories.
Along with the essential awards, a Community Poll determined the winner of the Community’s Garage of the 12 months, while The Mix chosen the Community Member of the 12 months. The Garage Hive Innovator Award was assessed by Garage Hive, with the winners to be revealed through the evening dinner on the event.
Celebrating its fifth yr, The Mix conference for independent garages will donate all proceeds after costs to automotive charity, Ben.
