IONNA, the charging network formed by seven major automakers, including BMW, General Motors, Honda, Hyundai, Mercedes-Benz, Kia, and Stellantis, has chosen Durham, North Carolina, as its global headquarters. This strategic decision follows regulatory approval and the launch of operations in February, marking a major milestone for the corporate.

With its choice of Durham as its base, IONNA can expedite its plans for a 2024 launch. Durham’s location throughout the vibrant Research Triangle, coupled with its robust research ecosystem and prestigious universities, offers an excellent setting for IONNA’s operations. The world’s wealthy pool of tech talent and dedication to innovation align perfectly with IONNA’s mission to develop a complicated customer charging experience.

CEO’s Perspective: Embracing Durham’s Spirit

Seth Cutler, CEO of IONNA, expressed excitement concerning the company’s move to Durham, citing the realm’s history of research, innovation, and community growth as compelling reasons. He looks forward to constructing a various team that embodies IONNA’s vision and values from its recent headquarters.

North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper hailed IONNA’s decision as a validation of the state’s standing in the electrical vehicle industry. He highlighted North Carolina’s modern ecosystem, expert workforce, and strategic location as assets that can profit IONNA and its founding manufacturers.

A Hub for Innovation and Customer Experience

IONNA’s recent headquarters will function a hub for innovation, fostering collaboration and driving the evolution of electrical vehicle charging. It would house a Customer Experience Lab, together with satellite labs on the founding OEMs’ facilities, to facilitate accelerated deployment and continuous improvement, setting recent industry standards.

IONNA has appointed key executives to its leadership team, including a CFO, CPO, and COO, signaling its commitment to constructing a number one charging network in North America. These executives bring diverse expertise and a shared vision to drive IONNA’s growth and innovation within the sustainable mobility sector. With plans to open its first charging stations in america in 2024, IONNA is poised for significant expansion and impact in the electrical vehicle market.
