Tamworth-based LKQ Euro Automobile Parts has launched its first ever finance graduate scheme to create recent pathways for young people seeking to begin their profession within the automotive industry.

The aftermarket specialist is recruiting for 3 recent graduate positions in its finance team. Successful candidates will enrol on a three-year programme where they’ll be supported and funded to realize CIMA/ACCA accredited accountancy qualifications.

The graduates may also be allocated a private mentor to oversee their progress, in addition to being sponsored by the director of economic finance and financial planning and evaluation (FP&A) Melanie Lowe.

Applications are open now and elected applicants shall be invited to an assessment day on December 14 at LKQ Euro Automobile Parts’ HQ and central distribution centre in Birch Coppice Business Park.

The launch of the finance graduate scheme follows the success of the business’s fiinance internship programme, where three students from Aston University joined the finance department as an element of their industrial placement 12 months.

Annick Jourdenais, chief financial officer at LKQ Euro Automobile Parts said: “Recruiting and nurturing young talent is one among our top priorities. Not only does it allow us to tackle the growing skills gap within the sector, however it helps us diversify our recruitment pool, which filters upwards to supply a more representative workforce.

“Our recent graduate scheme creates space for more young people to pursue a satisfying profession in Finance and to excel within the automotive industry. We’re excited to listen to from applicants concerning the value and fresh perspectives that they’ll bring to our business and the broader industry.”
