Klassified Cars opens bespoke showroom in Rugby

Two Rugby entrepreneurs are celebrating after transforming a used automotive business during lockdown that’s seen them go from selling vehicles from a driveway to opening their very own bespoke showroom.

Best friends Steve Kempster and Richard Turrall had each spent 10 years working in dealership chains across the region. After losing his job in the beginning of the pandemic, Kempster risked the whole lot to fulfil a lifelong dream of getting his own independent dealership.

Kempster recalled: “I had £2,000 in savings and I invested all of it in two cars. At the identical time, I built an internet site myself, began an account with Auto Trader and registered the business. I made probably the most of each moment and managed to sell 10 cars inside the first month, all from my driveway.

“There’s not many automotive salespeople that may say they worked from home, however the low overheads enabled me to speculate in additional stock within the early days and I focused on showcasing my range online – which worked particularly well throughout the pandemic.”

Turrall had at all times shared his friend’s dream and a couple of months later he joined Klassified Cars as director. Together they’ve sold over 300 cars in three years from Kempster’s driveway in Rugby.

Now, after several months of searching, they finally discovered an appropriate location for his or her first showroom, based on Somers Road in Rugby. The unit was in a state of disrepair, so that they spent 4 months transforming the warehouse right into a dream automotive shop.

Turrall, said: “As automotive enthusiasts ourselves, we at all times wanted our own venue where the vehicles were the star of the show. Our Rugby unit is strictly what we were after – its industrial décor mixes perfectly with the fashionable artwork we’ve installed, making a cool yet inviting space for our customers.

“At Klassified Cars, the client experience is paramount, and our latest showroom has helped us elevate that offering. We pride ourselves on providing exceptional service, transparent pricing and tailored solutions, ensuring a hassle-free and enjoyable automotive buying process.”
