Kia has confirmed its recent compact electric EV3 SUV can be priced from £32,995 with first deliveries expected before the tip of 2024.

Two battery sizes can be found. The EV3 Standard Range model can be offered with a 58.3kWh battery, while the EV3 Long Range variant will use an 81.4kWh battery.

The Standard Range can cover 267 miles between charges, while the Long Range manages as much as 372 miles. Each battery options are paired with a single 204PS electric motor.

The brand new model joins the present EV6 and EV9 models as an electric-only model based on a bespoke platform.

It’s one in all 15 recent models Kia plans to launch by 2027.

The EV3 measures 4,300mm long, 1,850mm wide, 1,560mm high, making it similar in size to a VW ID3.

With a 25-litre frunk and a 460-litre rear load capability, Kia claims that the EV3 offers the biggest luggage space in its class.

The inside design takes inspiration from Kia’s existing EV6 and EV9 models, with a minimalist yet premium approach. There is a pair of huge screens at the highest of the dash, providing infotainment and instruments, plus a touch panel for the climate controls.

Lots of the EV3’s functions, including drive mode, cruise control, entertainment, and navigation, will be accessed and controlled by an easy touch of the steering wheel buttons.

The EV3 is the primary model to profit from Kia’s recent i-Pedal 3.0 regenerative braking technology, which allows the motive force to regulate the extent of regenerative braking in line with their preference, enabling one-pedal driving. This maximises energy efficiency and noticeably reduces fatigue on long drives, enabling the vehicle to travel further on a single charge and making the journey more engaging, enjoyable, and cozy.

The place to begin for the EV3 line-up is the ‘Air’ grade, offered with either battery pack. These include 17-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, heated front seats and steering wheel, front and rear parking sensors, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitor and a rear-view camera.

‘GT Line’ is simply available with the larger battery. It also has sportier exterior styling and 19-inch wheels.

The flagship of the EV3 lineup is the ‘GT-Line S’, which comes with a sunroof, electrically adjustable and ventilated front seats, 360-degree camera system, Harman Kardon sound system, an electrical tailgate and head-up display.
