Ashley Chesters is to tackle the role of a Swansway SEAT service manager after five and a half years at Crewe Volkswagen.
Ashley first worked as a service advisor before progressing onto the workshop controller role at Crewe Volkswagen where he achieved Volkswagen workshop controller accreditation, along with organising the big workshop team throughout their day-to-day operations.
On receiving the promotion, Ashley said: “Since I received my workshop controller accreditation back in July, the subsequent goal for me was to achieve a service manager position, I’m really excited to place my very own stamp on the role and tackle this latest challenge!”
Since starting at Crewe SEAT, Ashley has been very impressed and excited by the potential among the many Service team, crediting them with the way in which they’ve embraced changes he has introduced.
Looking ahead, Ashley said he hopes to create an enjoyable, efficient work environment, noting that it is rather difficult to realize success with no team that’s united and driven.
Swansway Motor Group aftersales director Matt Springhall, commenting on Ashley’s appointment, said: “Ash has been a credit to each himself and Swansway throughout his time here thus far. The skillset he demonstrated during his time at Crewe Volkswagen made him an obvious candidate for the service manager role when it became available. I’m really looking forward to seeing what Ash brings to the role together with his refreshing approach to management and desire to enhance efficiency.”
