Cadillac has taken the wraps off the inside of its upcoming Optiq EV, giving enthusiasts a glimpse of what to anticipate ahead of its highly anticipated debut on the Beijing Motor Show later this month. The cabin of the Optiq seamlessly marries traditional luxury with cutting-edge technology, drawing inspiration from its larger counterpart, the Lyriq. Sharing design cues and trim elements with the Lyriq, resembling the three-spoke steering wheel and an expansive 33-inch curved screen housing each the driving force’s display and infotainment system, the Optiq guarantees a classy driving experience.

The middle console of the Optiq, paying homage to the Lyriq’s, incorporates a rotary gear selector and twin cupholders. Nonetheless, within the Optiq, the console has been elevated to create a floating effect, adding a touch of modernity to the inside. Complementing this are slim air vents and physical climate controls, together with an open storage bin illuminated by ambient lighting.

When it comes to aesthetics, Cadillac offers two distinct color schemes for the Optiq’s interior. One option features warm saddle-colored leather upholstery contrasted with black accents, while the opposite presents a lighter gray leather with blue highlights for a brisker, more vibrant look. Each variants boast elegant glossy wood-effect inlays on the middle console, together with silver and glossy piano black accents throughout.

The inside ambiance is further enhanced by tasteful lighting, casting a soothing blue glow throughout the cabin. This illumination not only adds to the general atmosphere but additionally highlights convenient features like dual USB-C ports. While details on powertrain specifications and battery range are still forthcoming, it’s expected that the North American version of the Optiq will offer comparable performance to its Chevrolet counterpart, possibly even exceeding it, as GM maintains consistency across its premium and mainstream offerings.

As anticipation builds for the Optiq’s release, more information is anticipated to emerge, including pricing and availability for each the Chinese and North American markets. With its stylish exterior and complicated interior, the Cadillac Optiq EV is poised to make a big impact in the electrical vehicle segment.
