The 2024 Toyota Tacoma, set to reach in dealerships in December 2023, is a totally redesigned mid-size pickup truck aiming to set recent standards within the segment. With a concentrate on quality, durability, and reliability, Toyota engineers have incorporated modern technology, rugged styling, and versatile capabilities into this recent generation.

Powerful Performance and Diverse Powertrain Options

The Tacoma comes with a normal i-FORCE 2.4L Turbo Engine, delivering as much as 278 horsepower and 317 lb.-ft. of torque. For enhanced ride and handling, each grade features unique suspension tuning, with an available coil spring rear suspension contributing to improved on- and off-road manners. The introduction of a 14-inch touchscreen display with the newest Toyota Audio Multimedia System adds a contemporary touch to the truck’s interior.

The Tacoma offers two powertrain options to satisfy the demands of various drivers. The turbocharged i-FORCE 2.4-liter engine provides 278 horsepower, while the i-FORCE MAX hybrid, available on select models, impressively delivers as much as 326 horsepower and 465 lb.-ft. of torque.

Off-Road Prowess

Engineered for adventure, the 2024 Tacoma boasts off-road capabilities that set it apart. The front stabilizer bar disconnect system, available on some models, increases suspension flex on the push of a button. The truck’s design draws inspiration from Toyota’s Baja race trucks, featuring a narrow body, wide upper grille, aggressive skid plates, high-mount headlamps, and signature design elements.

Smart Towing Tech

Towing is made easier with a maximum towing capability of 6,500 lbs. on select models, trailer brake controller, Tow/Haul drive mode, Trailer Back Up Guidance, Straight Path Assist, and a Panoramic View Monitor providing a 360-degree top-down view. Additional features include Blind Spot Monitor and a wireless trailer camera.

Improved Bed Design

The bed volume is increased by seven percent, making loading gear more convenient. The bed is constructed using Sheet-Molded Compound (SMC) for strength and lightness. The aluminum tailgate encompasses a power open and shut function, and gas grades offer a 400W AC inverter outlet within the bed.

Unique Characteristics for Each Grade

Different Tacoma models are designed with unique characteristics, including suspension tuning tailored to every grade. TRD Sport, TRD Off-Road, and Limited grades feature specific shocks for various driving experiences. The TRD Pro comes with FOX’s recent QS3 three-way adjustable internal bypass shocks for improved off-road performance.

Advanced Technology

The 2024 Tacoma is supplied with the newest technology, including an 8-inch or available 14-inch multimedia touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ compatibility. It encompasses a Smart Key System, Digital Key, Smart Card key, and advanced safety features under Toyota Safety Sense 3.0, offering a collection of lively safety and convenience systems.

Diverse Model Lineup

The Tacoma is obtainable in various grades and configurations, including a brand new two-door XtraCab with clever storage features. The TRD PreRunner returns for 2024, available within the XtraCab configuration. The lineup includes SR, SR5, TRD PreRunner, TRD Sport, TRD Off-Road, Limited, TRD Pro, and the brand new Trailhunter grade.

Beyond Zero Vision

The Tacoma i-FORCE MAX hybrid powertrain is an element of Toyota’s commitment to a carbon-neutral future and wears the Beyond Zero badge. Toyota now offers 16 electrified vehicles, providing customers with various options to cut back their carbon footprint.

Warranty and Care

The 2024 Tacoma comes with Toyota’s standard warranties, including a 36-month/36,000 mile basic new-vehicle warranty and extra warranties for the powertrain and corrosion protection. The truck also includes ToyotaCare, covering normal factory-scheduled maintenance for 2 years or 25,000 miles and providing two years of unlimited mileage roadside assistance.
