Vertu Motors, Hendy Group, Ocean Automotive and JCT600 were among the many dealer groups and motor traders who earned trophies on the 2025 Autotrader Retailer Awards this week.
High achieving motor retailers, operating businesses of assorted scale, gathered on the Leadenhall Constructing, commonly often called ‘the cheesegrater’ skyscraper within the City of London, for an exciting afternoon celebrating excellence.
Some award categories were based on Autotrader’s data on retailers’ performance, while others attracted self-nominated entries. The winners were supplied with a number of assets to advertise their success to potential automobile buyers, including window stickers, digital logos, and social media posts.
Greater than 100 automobile and van dealers attended the ceremony at the celebrated central London venue, and 29 winners lifted trophies to great applause in recognition for his or her exceptional customer support, digital excellence, innovation, commitment to sustainability, and for successfully adapting to the challenges of today’s fast- moving market.
With lower than 1% of Autotrader’s c14,000 retailer partners recognised for his or her retailing excellence, each the winners and finalists have joined one in all the industry’s most exclusive clubs.
AM100 dealer groups were among the many winners. Vertu Motors directors David Crane, Liz Cope and Chris Penny collected its trophies for Retailer of the Yr (100+ cars), Customer Experience (100+ cars) and Innovation of the Yr (100+ cars).

The Woman of the Yr Award was presented to Michelle Caveney (left in picture with Julia Muir of Automotive 30% Club), a highly experienced motor retailer and brand director at JCT600 overseeing its Mercedes-Benz operations. The opposite finalists on this category were Kirsty Mullen, managing director at Garrowhill Automobile Sales, Louise Baker, head of fleet sales at Johnsons Cars, and Ellen Fitchew, divisional head of aftersales at Vindis Group.
Regarding the Woman of the Yr category, co-judge Julia Muir said: “This 12 months’s entries were uplifting to read and told amazing stories of among the good automotive retail women who’re already in an operational management role, and it was extremely difficult for the judges to pick out a shortlist. All these women are amazing and delivering incredible results, but Michelle has been delivering outstanding senior leadership performance over a long time and was demonstrating operational leadership back in the times when she was the one woman within the room. She is a real trailblazer and absolutely deserving to be named the Autotrader Woman of the Yr 2025.”
JCT600 also won the People and Culture Award within the 200+ cars category.
Hendy Group won the Recent Automobile Retailer of the Yr Award.

Autotrader’s chief executive Nathan Coe said: “The Autotrader Retailer Awards are a real highlight for us within the calendar because it’s a novel and privileged opportunity for us to recognise and to have fun the absolute best in automotive retailing.
“And that is precisely what every one in all this 12 months’s finalists and winners represent. Winning a retailer award is hard.
“Our judging process is totally independent, it’s unbiased, and it’s data and fact based. So, to be a finalist, let alone one in all only a small handful of winners, is a big achievement, and thoroughly well-deserved by all of this 12 months’s exceptional retailers.”
