So, where’s the most affordable gas as of January 2024?

• Wyoming has the most affordable gasoline prices within the U.S., where the typical cost is $2.63 per gallon. Nonetheless, the state ranks fifteenth in diesel prices at $3.64. Oklahoma leads in least expensive diesel prices at $3.38 per gallon.
• Utah has the second-cheapest gas, with the typical cost hitting $3.54 per gallon. 
• Coming in third place is Missouri, with gas prices at $2.645 per gallon. 

Further Findings

• Hawaii has the most costly gas prices, with a mean cost of $4.66 per gallon of gas.
• Oklahoma, Missouri, Colorado, Texas, and Montana had the highest five least expensive diesel prices.

A news report by the AAA on Jan. 25 highlighted recent data from the Energy Information Administration (EIA).

The information showed gas demand dipped from 8.27 to 7.89 million b/d within the last week. The national average of $3.10 is 2 cents lower than a month ago and 38 cents lower than a 12 months ago.
