Tol percuma pada 23-24 Disember 2024 sempena Krismas, kecuali di plaza tol BSI dan Tanjung Kupang

Kementerian Kerja Raya (KKR) telah mengumumkan kerajaan telah memuktamadkan pemberian kadar tol secara percuma kepada kenderaan Kelas 1 (persendirian) sahaja bermula jam 12.01 tengahmalam pada 23 hingga jam 11.59 malam pada 24 Disember 2024 sempena perayaan Deepavali yang bakal disambut Rabu ini. Di mana pemberian kadar tol percuma ini akan diberikan di semua plaza tol kecuali di sempadan negara, iaitu Plaza Tol Bangunan Sultan Iskandar (BSI) dan Plaza Tol Tanjung Kupang, Johor.

“Kerajaan Madani telah bersetuju untuk memberikan tol percuma kepada kenderaan kelas 1 (kenderaan persendirian) sahaja selaras aspirasi “MADANI di hati, Rakyat Disantuni” sempena Perayaan Hari Krismas 2024. Implikasi kewangan yang ditanggung Kerajaan bagi membayar balik kepada syarikat konsesi tol yang terlibat dianggarkan berjumlah RM38juta.

“Pengecualian tol bermula pada jam 12.01 tengah malam 23 Disember 2024 (Isnin) dan berakhir pada jam 11.59 malam, 24 Disember 2024 (Selasa). Pengecualian tol ini diharap dapat memberi peluang kepada seluruh rakyat Malaysia Madani yang berbilang kaum, budaya, kaum dan agama untuk sama-sama memeriahkan sambutan Hari Krismas 2024 terutama kepada yang beragama Kristian,” kata KKR menerusi kenyataan yang dikeluarkan.

Pastinya peluang keemasan ini akan dimanfaatkan oleh orang ramai yang tidak sabar untuk pulang ke kampung halaman atau mana-mana destinasi percutian ketika musim perayaan ini dan juga cuti hujung tahun. Walau bagaimana pun, anda disarankan supaya mengikut cadangan jadual waktu perjalanan (TTA) yang dikeluarkan oleh syarikat konsesi lebuhraya bagi mengurangkan risiko tersekat dalam kesesakan lalu lintas.

“Semua pengguna jalan raya juga dinasihatkan agar sentiasa mematuhi arahan papan tanda dan maklumat yang dipaparkan menerusi Variable Message System (VMS). Pengguna yang menggunakan lorong Smartlane diminta memberi isyarat awal sebelum memasuki lorong Smartlane yang telah diaktifkan, memandu dengan kelajuan yang ditetapkan, dan peka dengan keadaan sekeliling.

“Penunggang motosikal juga dinasihatkan supaya berhati-hati terutamanya semasa trafik tinggi di lebuhraya. Pastikan berhenti di tempat teduhan yang telah disediakan di lokasi terpilih di sepanjang lebuhraya dan sentiasa peka dan berwaspada apabila menghampiri lorong Smartlane yang diaktifkan,”kata KKR lagi.

Dalam masa yang sama, anda juga dinasihati memastikan baki kad Touch ‘n Go dan eWallet mencukupi walau pun melalui lebuhraya dalam tempoh pemberian tol percuma ini. Jangan lupa dapatkan rehat secukupnya dan pastikan kenderaan anda berada dalam keadaan yang selamat untuk dipandu. Sentiasa mengamalkan pemanduan berhemah dan berhati-hati di jalan raya.
