Do what you like, some say, and you will never work a day in your life. Others argue it’ll turn your whole life into work. One thing that will be amazing for each life and work is doing something you really love, like driving. I asked you earlier this week what driving job could be your dream job, and everybody had different ideas and motives.

A few of you wanted to make use of driving to attach with people or, more importantly, bring joy to dogs. Others have the desire to make it big driving the most effective cars on the most effective racetracks on the earth (or, stepping back even further, adding their punditry to skilled driving.)

Keep reading for the most effective answers from Monday.

Welcome back to Top Gear

A TV show doing something like Top Gear. Racing expensive cars(And low cost ones too) Around a track seeing the issues, speed, and performance.

I would like this job

School bus in alaska

I do not know the channel, but I’ve seen vids of this guy who drives an old schoolbus around some small town in Alaska (I feel) picking up, all of the neighborhood dogs, giving them treats, and just driving them around. Comfortable dogs. I’d like to try this.

A extremely sweet answer

I used to work as a wheelchair attendant at an airport. It didn’t pay much but I at all times enjoyed meeting the differing types of individuals. It was so rewarding getting each passenger where they needed to go and seeing the smile on their face as they walked onto the airplane.

As such, I’d drive one in every of those electric carts you see transporting passengers with mobility challenges through the terminal. If there was a gig like that where I could make enough to pay my bills, I’d take it in a heartbeat.

Living the dream!

I’m already doing it, my second job is a test driver. We get all vehicles, from true prototypes to production ready. Run light troubleshooting, work with the engineers and supply feedback to the manufacturer. I mainly cope with Durability so we run these cars often as much as 150K miles or so, from super cars to high end luxury and more humble models and EVs. I won’t inform you my client, but they’re German. Now, I’d like to be test driving for more Italian and Swedish manufacturers =)

Serious driving

I’d wish to teach high-end defensive driving to security professionals. I like the concept of teaching people the way to get probably the most out of even boring cars, in order that they’ll get people to safety. It isn’t just driving. It’s situational awareness, route planning, mechanics, crisis management.

I’d love this.

Cars are so pedestrian. You want to think greater. Literally.

I would like to drive construction equipment.

Time to hit the Autobahn

Besides racing…I feel ferrying (driving) cars across the country, to deliver them to people, is likely to be an enjoyable retirement. Especially in Europe.

I would like this for you

A ferrari Dino 308 GT4

A friend once messaged me to select up his white Ferrari Dino 308 GT4 from a automotive museum in Perth. And drive it across the Australian outback to a storage unit in Melbourne. Said he’d pay for the fuel and accommodation. I used to be -– up until then, at the least – having fun with an overseas trip. Would it not have been a great driving job? Yes it will. Could I get back in time to do it? No I could not. Thanks for reminding me.

Easy peasy work day

F1 pundit. Half of the things they are saying is wrong they usually just repeat what Reddit says daily. They get to fly around the globe and attend races.

See? Death Stranding vibes

A medium-distance courier driver.

Sure, it will be fun to be a Top Gear host or a race automotive driver, but I’m too slow and too fat to wring out a two-seater F1 automotive on the ‘Ring. I would like a job where I can chill, take a look at the scenery, and cruise around. Perhaps someone couriering something small–so I can drive a automotive and never a cube van–and with a variable route so I can see the scenery. Perhaps a courier for hospitals or a series of stores or something? I just need to monetize a Sunday cruise.

I’d also accept a position as a shuttle driver ferrying passengers from the airport to the mountain resorts. YYC to Canmore to Banff to Lake Louise to Jasper and back once a day? Yes please.
