Cadillac has officially stepped into high-performance electric territory with the brand new 2026 Lyriq-V, and it’s making quite the doorway. With 615 horsepower on tap and a blistering 0-60 mph time of just 3.3 seconds, this all-electric SUV is just not just Cadillac’s first V-Series EV—it’s also the quickest vehicle the brand has ever produced. Move over CT5-V Blackwing, there’s a brand new king of speed in Cadillac’s lineup.

Revealed last October, the Lyriq-V left us hanging without the juicy performance specs. Now, Cadillac has lifted the curtain, and the numbers are impressive. Powered by dual everlasting magnet electric motors delivering all-wheel drive, the Lyriq-V produces 650 lb-ft of torque to go together with its 615 horsepower. In Velocity Max mode, it rockets off the road faster than any Cadillac in history, shaving a tenth of a second off the CT5-V Blackwing’s 0-60 time.

Performance tweaks don’t stop at straight-line speed. The Lyriq-V introduces Competition Mode, which optimizes traction management to enhance agility and handling. Though Cadillac hasn’t gone into the nitty-gritty details, this mode guarantees to sharpen the already impressive electric SUV’s capabilities. Moreover, drivers can engage V-Mode via the steering-wheel-mounted V button, unlocking customized performance settings and enabling launch control for max acceleration.

Despite its impressive performance, the Lyriq-V isn’t any lightweight. Tipping the scales at 5,980 kilos, this SUV relies on massive 15.35-inch Brembo front brakes to bring all that power to a halt. Its 102.0-kilowatt-hour battery provides as much as 285 miles of range on a single charge, striking a balance between power and practicality.

The Lyriq-V’s aggressive styling complements its performance. A novel lower front fascia, side rockers, and body-colored lower trim give it a sporty look, while V-Series logos adorn the doors and tailgate. Special 22-inch wheels, an ordinary black-painted roof, and an exclusive Magnus Metal Frost paint option complete the visual package.

Inside, Cadillac ensures the Lyriq-V is as luxurious because it is fast. Features include power-adjustable front seat bolsters, a 33.0-inch LED display with V-Series-specific graphics, and Cadillac’s Super Cruise hands-free driving technology as standard.

Starting at $79,990, including destination charges, the Lyriq-V offers quite a lot of performance and elegance for the cash. Production kicks off this 12 months at Cadillac’s Tennessee plant, and the SUV can be available in the USA, Canada, Australia, and Latest Zealand, with additional markets to follow.

The 2026 Cadillac Lyriq-V is a daring move for the brand, combining electric innovation with the raw performance the V-Series is understood for. It’s an exciting glimpse into the longer term of high-performance EVs—and one which shows Cadillac is prepared to steer the charge.
