FCA US is recalling an estimated 848,511 vehicles within the U.S. on account of a radio software issue which will prevent the rearview camera image from displaying on the vehicle’s media screen.
The recall covers certain 2026 and 2027 model-year vehicles across the Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and Ram brands.
Affected vehicles include:
- 2026-2027 Chrysler Pacifica, Pacifica Plug-in Hybrid, and Voyager minivans
- 2026-2027 Dodge Charger
- 2026 Jeep Cherokee, Compass, Gladiator, Grand Cherokee, Grand Cherokee L, Grand Wagoneer, Grand Wagoneer L, and Wrangler
- Ram 1500 and 2500 pickups
- Ram ProMaster and ProMaster EV vans
Stellantis will provide affected customers with an over-the-air radio software update. A notification will appear on the vehicle’s media screen when the update becomes available.
Until the update is accomplished, Stellantis advises drivers whose rearview camera image doesn’t appear to make use of their rearview and side mirrors and remain aware of their surroundings while backing up.
The automaker said it isn’t aware of any accidents or injuries related to the difficulty. Recall notices are expected to be mailed to affected vehicle owners starting in September.
