Android users, finally! The 2025 Proton X70 facelift is now available with Android Auto. Coupled with Apple CarPlay that was rolled out late last 12 months for the refreshed SUV, AACP is now complete, and the X70 facelift is the primary Proton to have the phone mirroring functions – no more ugly phone holders!
Each Android Auto and Apple CarPlay may be connected wirelessly (you may as well connect with a wire, after all) and now Android smartphone users can ‘see their phone’ on the X70 facelift’s latest and enlarged 12.3-inch touchscreen. With this, Maps, other Google apps, Spotify and more may be displayed on the automotive’s nice big screen. To get back to the IHU, click on the Proton logo.
After much work, the X70 facelift’s infotainment system was designed for AACP, however the features weren’t available at launch (August 2024, read our launch report) as there was certification work to finish.
With AACP integration and certification now complete, we are able to expect it to feature in upcoming Proton models from launch.
