Mercedes-Benz has launched a thirtieth Anniversary Edition version of its Vito van, which matches somewhat beyond the same old birthday model fare.
That is because along with equipment upgrades and decals, the thirtieth Anniversary Edition has a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-diesel making 176kW of power and 500Nm of power.
While this engine is obtainable within the Vito overseas, the local range is often only available with a 100kW/300Nm 1.7-litre turbo-diesel or a 2.0-litre turbo-diesel making either 120kW/380Nm or 140kW/440Nm.
Locally, the one Vito-based model to be offered with the 176kW diesel is the more luxurious and significantly pricier V300 variant of the V-Class people mover.
The thirtieth Anniversary Edition is out there exclusively in mid-length five-seat Crew Cab form, and is well identified due to the ‘Vito 30’ decals that run down the side of the vehicle.
Other exterior upgrades include five-spoke 17-inch alloy wheels, roof rails, and a sports package. There’s only one paint selection: Alpine Grey.
The equipment list is boosted by the addition of Multibeam LED headlights, dual electric sliding doors, heated front seats with electric adjustment and memory settings, an influence tailgate, wireless smartphone charging, and a black faux leather interior.
As with regular Vito variants, the thirtieth Anniversary has a ten.25-inch MBUX infotainment touchscreen in the midst of the dash, and a 5.5-inch full-colour multifunction display sandwiched between two analog dials.
Like other mid-length Vito Crew Cab models, the thirtieth Anniversary is 5140mm long, 1928mm wide, 1919mm tall, and rides on a 3200mm wheelbase.
The order book for Vito thirtieth Anniversary Edition opens today (August 1, 2026) and the van is priced at $86,679 before on-road costs.
For reference, the usual 116 mid-length Vito Crew Cab has an inventory price of $73,511 before on-roads and uses the less-powerful 120kW version of the two.0-litre turbo-diesel engine.
Mercedes-Benz says the thirtieth Anniversary has a limited production run for Australia, but there is no mention of what number of will probably be shipped to Australia.
As well as, to have a good time its a hundred and thirtieth birthday, the German brand is offering big savings for some Mercedes-Benz Vans models until September 30 – including from $4700 on Vito models and from $7400 on Sprinter models.
