Koenigsegg recently beat the Rimac Nevera R’s 0-249-0 mph world record. Now, Mate Rimac, CEO of Rimac Automobili, has vowed to challenge the record set by the Jesko Absolut.
In a video posted on Instagram, Rimac congratulated the team at Koenigsegg on their achievement. He also talked about how healthy competition leads to the development of new technologies.
Mate also shared a handy chart documenting all the previous 0-249-0 mph records. It all started back in 2019, when the Koenigsegg Regera set a time of 31.49 seconds. It was beaten by the Nevera in 2023 with a time of 29.93 seconds. In the same year, the Regera reclaimed the record with a time of 28.81 seconds.
In July 2024, Koenigsegg improved on its previous record in a Jesko Absolut. A year later, the Rimac Nevera R blitzed past the Jesko’s record of 27.83 seconds, completing the run in 25.79 seconds.
