Bonhams is set to auction off a pair of special Mercedes SLR McLaren supercars at the Goodwood Festival of Speed on July 14. Manny Khoshbin, are you listening?
What makes these McLaren SLRs unique are the specs. Both cars are painted in a super rare canary yellow. The offering is an SLR Roadster with a red interior and burgundy soft top, while the other is a one-off Crown Edition Coupe.
The Roadster is said to be in pristine condition, with just 62 miles on the odometer, while the SLR McLaren Crown Edition has just 25 miles.
The latter is based on the most sought-after “722 Edition”, which is evident from the carbon front splitter, the rear diffuser and the polished 722 5-spoke wheels.
Powering the SLR McLaren 722 Edition is powered by the same supercharged 5.4-liter V8 as the standard model. However, it was retuned to generate 641 hp at 6500 rpm and 605 lb-ft at 4000 rpm. The car also has a stiffer suspension and a lower ride height.

Manny Khoshbin is a huge SLR fan and owns several coupes and roadsters. He recently took delivery of a McLaren SLR HDK. A matching pair of yellow SLRs would be a great addition to his collection.
