It’s Wednesday, which suggests time again for the same old weekly fuel price update in Malaysia, with the ministry of finance having announced the retail price of fuels for the approaching week of December 19 to 25, 2024.
After three months, there’s finally a price revision to RON 97 petrol, with the premium fuel going up by three sen to RM3.22 per litre for the approaching week (RM3.19 per litre last week). Meanwhile, RON 95 continues at its ceiling price of RM2.05 per litre, as set by the Malaysian government in February 2021.
This time around, there’s no price revision for diesel, and so Euro 5 B10 and B20 diesel proceed on at RM2.95 per litre. Euro 5 B7 diesel, which costs 20 sen more per litre, due to this fact stays at its present rate of RM3.15 per litre. Meanwhile, the retail price of diesel fuel in Sabah, Sarawak and Labuan continues unchanged at RM2.15 per litre.
These fuel prices will take effect from midnight tonight until Wednesday, December 25, when the subsequent set of fuel price updates will likely be announced. That is the 51st edition of the weekly fuel pricing format for this 12 months, and the 310th in total for the reason that format was introduced at first of 2019.
