LEVC has announced that its first passenger automotive to achieve the UK market will probably be an MPV able to seating between six and eight adults, depending on the configuration.

The LEVC L380 is an opulent electric people carrier built on parent group Geely’s newest electric vehicle (EV) platform, and it’s going to be available to buy within the UK inside the following two years.

Currently LEVC is best known within the UK for its TX electric taxi and its VN5 panel van based on the identical vehicle, and its UK dealer network includes AM100 groups Caffyns, Endeavour Automotive and Vertu Motors.

The vehicle manufacturer revealed its intention to introduce quite a lot of electric cars and vans last yr. It said on the time that its latest modular platform for future vehicles would allow for 3 battery options to be offered: 73kWH with WLTP range of 225 miles; 102kWH with 308 miles; and 120kWh with 359 miles.

LEVC claims that the brand new model will provide an exceptionally roomy and deluxe experience, catering to each families and business users.

It could offer customers an alternative choice to current electric people carriers corresponding to the Mercedes-Benz EQV, Citroen e-SpaceTourer, Kia EV9 and forthcoming Volvo EM90, also under Geely’s parentage.

LEVC chief executive Alex Nan said: “As we speed up our transition from manufacturing the world’s most advanced and iconic taxi to becoming a number one e-mobility technology company, I’m delighted to achieve one other necessary milestone, revealing more details on our latest L380, which sets latest standards in the luxurious MPV sector.

“As with all our products, L380 takes inspiration from the corporate’s wealthy history, combined with the vast resources and technical innovation of the Geely Holding Group. It is stuffed with exquisite details and pleasant touches, combining space-efficient design with premium quality, raising the bar for multi-purpose vehicles.

“The revolutionary SOA technology on which L380 sits spearheads our exciting latest strategy that can see the business take a worldwide approach, growing our footprint internationally.

“We aim to have a presence in over 40 countries in the approaching years, with multiple latest models based on the SOA platform leading the way in which.”
