Indian Motorcycle and racing have a long and rich history. The brand’s former racing glory of the early 20th century is celebrated as a heyday of American motorcycle racing, and the current Indian brand under parent company Polaris has been setting new records and winning championships.
From Troy Herfoss’ 2024 King Of The Baggers championship aboard an Indian Challenger to Jared Mees’ 10th American Flat Track Grand National Championship aboard an Indian FTR, Indian’s racing efforts have been well rewarded in recent years. The FTR dominated AFT so well that the bike was outlawed for the 2025 season, ending the FTR’s production and thus ending its run in Super Hooligan as well. Indian fans can still get their racing fix in King Of The Baggers though.

Celebrating its racing past and present, Indian Motorcycle has released a new video titled “Legends to Kings | The Legends,” which explores Indian’s role in American motorcycle racing, including information on famous boardtrack racers and the present state of Indian racing.
“The ‘Legends to Kings’ series bridges the gap between the pioneers who forged our racing legacy and the modern-day team that carries it forward,” reads the video’s description on YouTube.

The video includes interviews with all three Indian factory King Of The Baggers racers (Loris Baz, Troy Herfoss, Tyler O’Hara) and Indian leadership, including VP of Racing, Technology, and Service Gary Gray, President Mike Dougherty, and Design Director Ola Stenegard. The video also includes footage from the Daytona and Atlanta rounds of the 2025 King Of The Baggers season.
Watch the “Legends to Kings” video above and on Indian’s YouTube channel, where you can also find the six-video FORGED Custom Build Series, which invited three builders to put their own spin on a customized Indian Chieftain PowerPlus.
