Jeep’s future looks electrifying, as outlined in a recent Stellantis investor presentation. The brand’s CEO, Antonio Filosa, unveiled plans extending through 2027, emphasizing a big shift towards electrification across their lineup. A standout announcement was the upcoming next-generation Jeep Renegade, set to debut with a fully-electric variant priced under $25,000. Filosa didn’t make clear whether this price includes potential federal tax credits, indicating that such incentives could play an important role upon its launch in the approaching years.

Along with the electrified Renegade, Jeep plans to introduce a brand new generation of the Compass by 2027. One other notable addition will likely be a midsize SUV, unveiled alongside the Wagoneer S, though its specific name stays undisclosed, likely succeeding the Cherokee. Refreshes are also planned for several models including the Wrangler, Gladiator, Grand Cherokee, Wagoneer, and Grand Wagoneer.

By 2027, Jeep goals to supply a comprehensive lineup featuring five plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) variants, a range-extended model, and 6 fully electric vehicles (EVs). These EVs will likely be introduced progressively, with two slated for unveiling in 2025, utilizing Stellantis’ STLA Large and Medium platforms designed for various vehicle segments.

The subsequent-generation Renegade, positioned as a B-segment vehicle with multiple powertrain options, is anticipated to utilize the Smart Automobile platform. This platform supports hybrid engines and electric powertrains, potentially offering as much as 249 miles of range, though actual range may vary based on testing standards.

Overall, Jeep’s electrification strategy marks a big evolution of their product offerings, with initial launches including the Wagoneer S later this yr and the Recon slated for next yr. The brand’s commitment to expanding their electric vehicle portfolio underscores a proactive approach towards meeting future market demands and regulatory requirements.
