Jaecoo has confirmed UK pricing and specifications for its all-electric E5, which can arrive in October priced from £27,505.
The compact SUV uses a 61.1kWh battery and a 207PS electric motor, delivering a WLTP range of as much as 248 miles and 0-62mph in 7.7 seconds.
An 80kW DC charger can take the battery from 30% to 80% in around 27 minutes, while an 11kW AC charger enables overnight charging at home.
Two trim levels might be offered: Pure and Luxury. Each include Level 2 driver assistance systems, while Luxury adds features corresponding to a panoramic sunroof and heated, ventilated front seats.
The Luxury trim is priced from £30,505.
Practical touches include vehicle-to-load capability, a 480-litre boot, over 35 interior storage compartments and a dedicated “pet mode”. A seven-year/100,000-mile vehicle warranty and an eight-year/100,000-mile battery warranty are included.
Victor Zhang, UK country director Jaecoo UK, said: “The Jaecoo E5 is an exciting recent chapter for us within the UK – a compact electric SUV that carries the identical confident design and adventurous spirit as our petrol models, but with the refinement and suppleness that comes from zero-emission driving.
“Following the success of our sister-brand’s Omoda E5, this recent model extends that momentum, bringing the identical flexibility and refinement to a more rugged, outdoors-focused SUV.”
