Hyundai Motor Company unveiled its Ioniq 9 all-electric SUV ahead of the Los Angeles Auto Show on the Goldstein House in Beverly Hills, California.
The Ioniq 9 is Hyundai’s first large, three-row electric SUV and is the third model within the Ioniq electric vehicle (EV) lineup.
Hyundai has cemented its position within the U.S. as a top-three EV sales leader, driven by demand for its Ioniq 5 and Ioniq 6. In keeping with an organization statement, Hyundai expects to strengthen its brand position globally with Ioniq 9.
The Ioniq 9 accommodates as much as seven occupants, providing space and features that cater to individuals’ needs, making the vehicle ‘Built to Belong.’
In keeping with an organization statement, the vehicle contains a generous level of space and interior flexibility, with technologically advanced features and a lounge-like atmosphere.
Hyundai’s Vision in Motion
With a panoramic view of the LA skyline as a backdrop, greater than 300 global media representatives and influencers attended the event, which began with a welcome speech by José Muñoz, president and global chief operating officer of Hyundai Motor Company.
“We’re making remarkable progress within the industry and dealing hard to take care of leadership in electrification. The Ioniq 5 and 6 have achieved multiple accolades as World Cars of the Yr. Tonight, we’re taking it to the following level with the all-new Ioniq 9,” Muñoz said.
Sungwon Jee, Hyundai’s senior vice chairman and global chief marketing officer, outlined the Ioniq brand’s evolution and the Ioniq 9’s addition to the corporate’s EV portfolio.
SangYup Lee, executive vice chairman and head of Hyundai and Genesis global design, delved into the Ioniq 9’s design, which offers aerodynamic performance with refined design, resulting in the SUV’s ‘Aerosthetic’ silhouette.
Olabisi Boyle, senior vice chairman of product planning and mobility strategy at Hyundai Motor North America, highlighted the space inside Ioniq 9.
Die-cast models of Ioniq 9 were also on show, demonstrating various seating configurations, the vehicle’s Universal Island 2.0 console, and a spacious third row. Hyundai Motor’s brand achievements were celebrated with the Ioniq lineup’s World Automotive of the Yr trophies and smart factory dioramas.
