Ferrari sound found itself entangled in legal proceedings in america. A bunch of drivers has filed a lawsuit alleging that Ferrari has did not adequately address a serious safety concern regarding the braking systems of their vehicles. The lawsuit, filed in San Diego federal court, claims that despite recalls issued in 2021 and 2022 to rectify brake fluid leaks, the measures taken were only temporary solutions. This allegedly allowed Ferrari to proceed selling cars with defective brakes, putting drivers susceptible to partial or total lack of braking capability.

In line with the grievance, the first solution offered by Ferrari is the alternative of defective master cylinders upon the invention of leaks. The plaintiffs argue that Ferrari had a legal obligation to reveal this brake defect as a known safety issue but did not achieve this. In search of unspecified damages, the drivers assert that they wouldn’t have purchased their Ferraris had they been aware of those problems beforehand.

In response to the lawsuit, Ferrari issued an announcement emphasizing its commitment to the protection of its drivers and adherence to rigorous safety standards. Nonetheless, the corporate did circuitously address the allegations specified by the grievance.

Leading the lawsuit is Iliya Nechev, a resident of San Marcos, California, who purchased a Ferrari 458 Italia in 2020. Nechev claims to have experienced close calls attributable to his Ferrari’s faulty brakes but was allegedly dismissed by his dealership when he raised concerns.

The problem extends beyond america, as Ferrari initiated brake recalls in several countries, including China, starting in October 2021. The recalls affected various Ferrari models produced over nearly 20 years.

Robert Bosch, the German supplier of the alleged defective parts, can also be named as a defendant within the lawsuit. The issue is claimed to stem from brake reservoir fluid caps that will not vent properly, potentially making a vacuum contained in the fluid reservoir.

Because the legal proceedings unfold, each Ferrari and Bosch have yet to supply further comments on the matter. The case, filed under the name Nechev v. Ferrari North America Inc et al, is ongoing within the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California.
