It’s been two years, 32 months, 975 days, nearly 25-thousand hours — or just far too long — since I’ve written anything for Stance Is Every part. Considering how often I used to create on this space, admitting it’s been so long feels greater than a bit of embarrassing.
If there’s any saving grace available, it’s that in that point I never dropped my digital pen or stopped going to events.
My passion for automotive culture continues to be here, and as healthy as ever.

While gone, I lent my literary and photography talents — together with countless popular culture references — to a handful of various outlets: Power Automedia, Canadian Hot Rod Magazine, Minitruckin’, and the recently defunct Speedhunters.

Did I sell out? Depends who you ask. I wish to think I didn’t. I stayed true to myself, wrote the way in which I write, and all the time did my best to place Ontario — and Canada — on the map.
The opportunities and connections I made working for others are something I’ll all the time cherish. Dollars to donuts, the additional couple of bucks I made here and there also went a good distance in getting my Project 51 GMC on the road — and keeping it there.

Nevertheless, your entire time I used to be away I had this nagging feeling of regret, letting this site coast through the web like a ghost ship lost within the Arctic.
Sure, I used to be energetic on Instagram and dabbling with YouTube, but photos and words are how I became known. Why not come back to that?

With a number of of the aforementioned opportunities winding down, for the primary time in a protracted time I’ve had a moment to ask myself: What’s next?
Truthfully — because there’s no other strategy to be when writing in an environment I created — I’ve develop into very comfortable with the conclusion that nothing needs to be next.

I’m free to do exactly what I would like, when I would like. Once I began Stance Is Every part I had a girlfriend, a small mortgage, a automotive with no payments, and two cats.
Now we’re happily married, I even have a bigger mortgage, a dog, an eleven (!!) yr old, and a business. Thankfully, I still have a automotive that’s paid off.
Still, things have modified.

Today, my free time is sort of exclusively reserved for things I would like to do, and I’ve realized creating is something I still need to do.
As any creator will let you know, regardless of how great the client (shoutout to the awesome few I still have), there’s all the time some level of compromise afforded to either side when collaboration is involved.
This site allows me to really only compromise with myself.

That is an exciting position to be in once more, and I’m looking forward to exploring it with none pressure.
So what does that mean? Well, I admit most of you will have probably already found latest sources of content — and quite truthfully, that’s positive. This new edition of Stance Is Every part is as much for me because it is for you.

To get us out of the gate with the suitable foot forward, the web site has been entirely reskinned — something that was sorely needed.
Because this site is as much your archive because it is mine, I’ve also spent quite a while organizing the Event Coverage section to make the nearly 500 posts of content easier to navigate.

By way of post frequency for brand new content, I plan to sit down down and contribute something a few times a month to begin, as time allows. A few of it’ll be latest work; a few of it’ll be unreleased work. I even have gigs of photos on my computer and 1000’s of words floating around in my head at any given time.

If I begin to hit my stride again? Who knows — we’d even give you the chance to hit weekly contributions again. And from there… well, let’s not install the wheels before the drop.

For those of you who’re still here, thanks. Your support is appreciated. And for those of you who’re latest, welcome to the party.
Don’t call it a comeback — I’ve been here for years.
