Dacia has revealed its latest Bigster SUV that can go on sale next 12 months as a part of the brand’s wider plans to expand its model range with two additional models.
The introduction of the Bigster, which is predicted to rival models just like the Nissan Qashqai and the Kia Sportage, shall be priced to deliver “the perfect value for money within the segment”. Pricing is yet to be confrmed.
Based on the 2021 Bigster Concept, the brand new automobile has a daring, rugged appearance.
The boxy design advantages practicality, with Dacia claiming the Bigster to be “probably the most spacious” vehicles in its segment. It has a 40:20:40 split folding rear seat and a 667-litre boot.
Standard features include keyless entry, dual zone climate control, rear view camera, parking sensors and a 10-inch infotainment touchscreen.
Three powertrain options shall be available. The flagship model will use a 155PS hybrid engine based on Dacia’s existing hybrid powertrain. Within the Bigster it develops more power and can be said to be 6% more efficient.
There will even be a 140PS mild-hybrid petrol and a 130PS petrol unit with all-wheel-drive.
