Big Motoring World has reported a 21% year-on-year increase in used automobile sales throughout the first half of 2026 after setting a succession of monthly and quarterly records.
The independent used automobile supermarket group said improved pricing, a stock mix more closely aligned with customer demand and investment in customer care and aftersales had helped drive the expansion.
Big Motoring World sold greater than 18,300 used vehicles throughout the first three months, setting a brand new quarterly record for the business.
It also achieved successive monthly sales records in January, February, March and April, while two of its dealerships each exceeded 1,000 sales in a single month for the primary time.
Pricing and stock fuel growth
The group said changes to its pricing strategy and vehicle mix had made its stock more competitive and higher matched to current used automobile demand.
Its expansion continued in May with the opening of a brand new used automobile supermarket in Warrington which can display as much as 1,000 vehicles from greater than 40 brands.
