AC Cars, the UK’s oldest energetic vehicle manufacturer, has revealed the primary images of the stunning recent AC Cobra GT Coupe. This model marks the debut of an official AC Cobra coupe, built on an enhanced version of the present AC Cobra GT Roadster platform. Drawing deeply from the corporate’s wealthy racing heritage, the brand new coupe is about to deliver a driving experience that’s each nostalgic and cutting-edge.

Inspired by AC’s historic victories in motorsport, including the Monte Carlo Rally and the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the AC Cobra GT Coupe incorporates quite a few enhancements derived from these triumphs. This recent model merges the unmistakable AC Cobra design with a up to date coupe profile, creating a singular addition to the corporate’s expanding lineup. The GT Coupe retains key elements from the Roadster but takes cues from the legendary AC A98 coupe that competed at Le Mans in 1964.

Production of the AC Cobra GT Coupe will happen at AC Cars’ UK facilities, featuring a sophisticated aluminium chassis and a refined carbon-fibre body. The launch includes the intense Clubsport Edition, limited to only 99 units and powered by a formidable 799bhp V8 engine. These exclusive cars can be delivered to customers starting at the top of 2025.

Following the Clubsport Edition, a series production coupe can be available, offering either a naturally aspirated 450bhp V8 or a supercharged 720bhp option. Priced from £325,000 plus taxes, reservations for each the GT Coupe and the Clubsport Edition are actually open at ac.cars.

David Conza, CEO of AC Cars, expressed his pride in the brand new model: “The reveal of the AC Cobra GT Coupe is a proud moment for us, and the story of a road-going AC Cobra coupe is one years within the making. To have been capable of mix the timeless AC Cobra design right into a automobile using the most recent design and construction techniques breaks recent ground for AC Cars. This implies the limited Clubsport Edition will provide an incredible, racing car-like experience on either the road or the track.”

Despite the long-lasting status of the AC Cobra, the unique automobile was only ever produced as a roadster. The brand new GT Coupe, subsequently, represents a big milestone for AC Cars. It features the fashionable AC Cobra GT Roadster’s signature shoulder line while drawing significant inspiration from the one-off AC A98 coupe. This historic race automobile introduced the distinctive Kammtail rear design, which reduces drag and boosts high-speed performance.

The brand new AC Cobra GT Coupe will house a robust engine with as much as 450bhp for the usual model and a powerful 799bhp for the limited Clubsport Edition. The lightweight construction, exceptional torsional rigidity, and advanced chassis design ensure a driving experience like no other. The coupe maintains the identical dimensions because the roadster, with a 2570mm wheelbase, 4225mm length, and 1980mm width, achieving a near-perfect 50:50 weight distribution.

Honoring the legacy of speed and performance that Carroll Shelby instilled within the Cobra, the AC Cobra GT Coupe is a up to date tribute to a storied past, mixing classic design with modern engineering to supply a very unique driving experience.
