Ram is bringing back the 1500 Rebel X for 2026, and it’s aimed squarely at buyers who want something more distinctive than the usual Rebel without stepping all the way in which as much as the hardcore, high-priced halo trucks. Consider it because the “fully loaded” Rebel with slightly extra personality, a couple of key functional upgrades, and a feature you can’t get anywhere else within the Ram lineup.
The headline trick is what Ram calls Rough Road Cruise Control, essentially an off-road-friendly tackle cruise control that works at low quickens to twenty mph. The system manages throttle inputs and steering feel to assist keep things smooth when the terrain gets choppy, which feels like the form of feature you’ll appreciate on long, slow trail sections or rough access roads. Visually, the Rebel X can also be meant to face out due to X-branded bedside graphics, plus it introduces a brand new military green-inspired paint color called Tank that may expand to other 1500 models down the road.

Power comes from the usual 420-hp Hurricane turbocharged inline-six, and that’s your only engine selection here. Interestingly, the optional $1,200 Hemi V8 that continues to be available on the regular Rebel will not be offered on the Rebel X, which appears like Ram making a transparent statement about where its half-ton performance future is headed. In a world where the RHO and the TRX grab a lot of the attention, this package lands in a more realistic lane for individuals who still want capability but in addition desire a truck that feels special daily.
Inside, the Rebel X leans heavily into premium territory. It includes the identical feature set you’d get with the Rebel’s Level 2 equipment, like the large 14.5-inch Uconnect 5 touchscreen, a 19-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, a passenger-side screen, dual wireless charging pads, and heated rear seats.
