Genesis is giving its popular GV70 luxury crossover a refreshing update for the 2025 model yr, marking the midpoint of its product cycle. With over 200,000 units sold since its late 2020 debut, the GV70 is receiving subtle exterior tweaks and significant interior enhancements. Essentially the most notable change lies contained in the cabin, where the standard split screens have been replaced by a generous 27.0-inch OLED display, a feature previously seen in other Genesis models just like the G80, GV80, and newly introduced GV80 Coupe. Moreover, the climate control panel receives a fresh appearance, with relocated shortcut buttons for media settings now situated atop the larger HVAC screen. The glossy black keys, flanked by silver knobs, replace the previous silver keys, adding a sleek touch to the inside.
The inside updates extend beyond the infotainment system. The 2-tone steering wheel now showcases the brand new Genesis winged logo, while the central air vents are encased in an oval piece of shiny black trim, contributing to an overall refined aesthetic. Notably, the GV70 Sport trim receives special attention, boasting a flat-bottomed steering wheel and contrasting orange stitching, adding a sporty flair to the cabin ambiance.
Externally, the GV70 retains much of its familiar design, with notable changes limited to subtle refinements. The massive grille receives a brand new pattern across each standard and Sport models, complemented by the addition of a pseudo skid plate to reinforce the vehicle’s rugged appearance. Fresh 19-inch wheels add a touch of sophistication, while the headlights and taillights maintain the signature “Two Lines” motif, albeit with mild updates. Completing the outside modifications are reshaped exhaust finishers, rounding off the GV70’s refined look.
While the refreshing updates focuses solely on tech and design enhancements, it’s reasonable to anticipate similar updates for the GV70 Electrified variant, albeit without the inclusion of the brand new exhaust setup. For technical specifications and performance details, we are going to await updates from our friends at Genesis.
