2024 Abarth 695 price and specs

Abarth Australia has detailed an updated 695 Competizione, with first vehicles arriving in November.

Once more available in a single trim level with each five-speed manual and five-speed Dualogic automated manual ($2000) transmissions, the 2024 Abarth 695 range in Australia is now $1500 dearer.

Key changes for the brand new model 12 months include a brand new vertically stacked Record Monza exhaust system, as debuted overseas some months ago, in addition to a brand new Racing Orange exterior color option.

It’ll be joined in local showrooms next 12 months by the 500e, which features similar styling but uses a brand new platform and an electrical powertrain.

Pricing

  • 2024 Abarth 695 Competizione 5MT: $37,900
  • 2024 Abarth 695 Competizione 5AT: $39,900

Prices exclude on-road costs

Powertrain

As before, the Abarth 695 Competizione is powered by a 1.4-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine.

  • 2024 Abarth 695 price and specs

Outputs are rated at 132kW and 250Nm (3000rpm), with drive sent exclusively to the front wheels via either a five-speed manual transmission or an optional five-speed Dualogic automated manual.

Abarth quotes a 0-100km/h time of 6.7 seconds for the manual, and 6.9 seconds for the auto. Flat out, you’ll be doing 225km/h.

Efficiency

There have been no confirmed changes to the Abarth 695’s fuel economy and emissions for the brand new model 12 months.

  • 2024 Abarth 695 price and specs

As such, combined fuel economy stays 6.0 litres per 100km for the manual and 5.8L/100km for the manual. The Abarth 695’s fuel tank measures a tiny 35 litres, and demands minimum 95 RON premium unleaded fuel.

It’s a Euro 6-certified powertrain, with combined CO2 emissions rated at 139g/km for the manual and 134g/km for the auto.

Dimensions

The Abarth 595 measures 3657mm long, 1627mm wide and 1485mm tall, on a 2300mm wheelbase.

Servicing and Warranty

Fiat and Abarth proceed with a three-year, 150,000km warranty in Australia, which is lagging behind rival brands.

  • 2024 Abarth 695 price and specs

There’s no advertised capped-price servicing, either.

You do, nevertheless, get three years of Fiat Roadside Assistance for 3 years from the beginning of your vehicle’s warranty period.

Safety

The ageing Fiat 500 and related Abarth 695 are unrated by ANCAP.

  • 2024 Abarth 695 price and specs

Up until December 2022, the entry-level Fiat 500 Pop wore a 2008-stamped five-star ANCAP safety rating based on much older criteria. With no energetic safety tech, it’s protected to say the present automotive wouldn’t be achieving top marks in 2023.

Standard safety equipment includes:

  • 7 airbags incl. driver’s knee
  • ISOFIX attachments, 2 x rear
  • Rear parking sensors
  • Tyre pressure monitoring

Note the shortage of features like autonomous emergency braking (AEB), lane departure warning, or perhaps a reversing camera.
